Last year, Heaton Park in Manchester played host to a huge inflatable obstacle course, which goes by the name ‘Gung-Ho!’. The event was a huge success by all accounts and so is back for 2017 and is bigger than ever. Cbeebies star Alex Winters had a bit of a lightbulb moment whilst watching Ninja Warrior with his children, and Gung-Ho! was the result!

A fair few of my friends took part in this in 2016 though (un)fortunately I was pregnant and so had to give it a miss. I don’t have that excuse this time though so maybe I’ll sign up.

Up to 5,000 runners at Gung-Ho!, at Heaton Park, on Saturday 29 April, will fly down the five-storey-high, 200ft-long Thriller after organisers added WATER to the fun-filled inflatable – an act inspired by last year’s rainy visit to Manchester.

The ten inflatables – including three which make their debut in 2017 – will be filled with enough air to pump up more than 100 MILLION footballs, making it the biggest course of its kind anywhere on the planet.

Last year the weather seemed to have a mind of its own and Manchester saw several seasons in one day. The rain prompted another idea for Alex – why not add water to the assault course? So the 2017 event is set to be bigger, better, and wetter than ever.

We are so excited to have secured Heaton Park again as our event space, which will provide the perfect backdrop for our fun-filled run. We will return bigger and better than ever and can’t wait to see people of all ages going Gung-Ho! on the world’s biggest inflatable obstacle course in 2017. Manchester – I hope you are ready for us!
