Christmas Gift Guide: Personalised Gifts

I love a personalised gift at Christmas. To receive something that has been sourced, ordered, personalised and gift wrapped just for you is a lovely feeling. There are so many options for personalised gifts these days that it can be hard to know where to start, but these are my top choices.

For the home

We haven’t treated ourselves to new cushions in the lounge for a few years now, but I think we’re definitely due to give the room a revamp and cushions are the perfect way to make a quick change in a tired looking room. Personalised cushions are even better – they give you a truly unique look!

Tesco Photos do a whole range of gorgeous, high quality photo gifts and some of them can even be collected in store on the same day you place your order! You can order everything from mugs to photobooks on the Tesco Photo website which is so easy to navigate – so user friendly. Collection from store is completely free too.

I ordered a large suede personalised cushion which is amazingly soft and snuggly, and a photo canvas too. The service I received was great and the prices were really reasonable too. Have a look at the Tesco Photo website and get some ideas for those difficult to buy for people this Christmas.

Something out of this world

It was recently National Space Week so the boys and I were looking at constellations. Did you know you can buy lots of different types of personalised space-related gifts?

We have recently named our own star in the Cepheus constellation with Star Name Registry. We chose the VIVID extra bright package which comes with a while host of other bits and bobs and is beautifully packaged, making it a perfect gift.

The VIVID gift set has everything you need to give the ultimate name a star experience. Great visibility and luxury features. Includes:

  • Entry into the registry.
  • A4 Star Name Deed.
  • The Sky Atlas star maps.
  • Confirmation letter.
  • A4 Wooden certificate frame.
  • Black presentation box.
  • Extra Bright Star gift explained

We love ours and we’re going to use it as a starting point to encourage the boys (and ourselves) to learn a little more around how to read the stars!

Another beautiful star related gift is the Personalised Star Map print from Posterhaste. I have ordered one of these as a gift and can’t wait to see the recipients face when they open it – it’s just so lovely. The process is really simple – select a place, date, and time (optional) to create a design showing the night sky (or day!) as it was, or will be, at that location, at your chosen moment. Perfect for a first meeting, a first dance, or first home.

Once you’ve inputted that information you check the preview and once you’re happy with your creation a simple click will place your order! Ours took only a couple of days to arrive and is just lovely. The price is really reasonable too, starting at £20.

Posterhaste also do lots of other designs. Two of the other favourites of mine are the family portrait and the word image – look how sweet this dinosaur themed one is!

There are so many other ways you can personalise a gift too – you could even make your own! Hand made gifts from the children are always well received.

We received an item from Posterhaste and one from Star Name Registry in return for this review.
