Is there anything quite as special as Disney?
Not if you’re a five year old girl dressed as a princess.
Disney on Ice is back in town and this year there are some special new arrivals… the Frozen characters are now included too!
With veteran Disney characters Mickey and Minnie opening the show in spectacular style, it was clear from the start that this year’s Disney on Ice was going to be phenomenal. Toy Story, Cars and The Little Mermaid were amongst the characters in the mesmerising show.
The girls were thrilled to have met Mickey and Minnie during a meet and greet before the show, even if they did only arrive with minutes to spare – Rowan isn’t well at the moment so the girls (and their mums) were standing in for That Lancashire Lass at the show. Thanks girls!
The choreography is as perfect as you imagine it would be, and I can’t even begin to think how many hours of hard work and dedication it must take for an entire cast to bring together such a magnificent performance. Not only that, but doing it all whilst wearing ice-skates? That takes great skill.
The audience may have been full of five and six year old Elsa and Anna replicas, but the Toy Story and Cars parts of the show meant that boys were catered for equally as well as the girls (though actually, I think a lot of boys love Frozen – Olaf in particular in our house) and so most children would have their imagination captured throughout the entire show.
The Disney on Ice Worlds of Enchantment tour is in Manchester until 18th October, before performing around the country on the following dates:
