KarenIf there’s one thing you need to fit properly when you are heavily pregnant it’s your bra. Ditch the wires and embrace the beauty of comfortable, stretchy fabric. You still need good support of course, but your priority is definitely comfort.
Fit
I chose the Bravado Body Silk Seamless Yoga Bra which quickly became my favourite bra. It may be called a yoga bra but it’s perfect for every day as well as any light exercise. The 4-way stretch fabric changes shape with your body throughout your pregnancy and once baby has arrived it’s perfect for nursing too. Even when the nursing is over it’s great as a regular bra. I’m a little bit in love with it!
Bravado have thought of everything with this bra really. It has full drop down cups for breastfeeding, it has adjustable straps to suit different shapes and styles of clothing and it even has removable padding which I thought was a great idea, particularly for the early days of breastfeeding when things can be quite sore and comfort is even more important.
Size
These bras aren’t sized like a regular bra, but rather they come in S, M, L and XL. This means that you only need to worry about buying one size rather than guessing the correct cup and inch size of your ever changing shape.
Price
The Bravado Body Silk Seamless Yoga Bra currently retails at £34 with free delivery on Bravado’s UK website . Although I do love a bargain I don’t think a maternity bra is something you can afford to scrimp on. This is really reasonably priced and worth every penny in my opinion.
I don’t think I’ve ever owned a more comfortable bra and I’m pretty sure I’ll be wearing this one until it’s worn out – but judging by the quality of the fabric and the stitching that won’t be for a considerable amount of time yet.
I had a bravado bra in my third pregnancy and it was by far my favourite! So comfortable and supportive!
You forget how comfy nursing bras are. I’ve been in my normal underwired one until recently and I wish i had changed over sooner.
