When I think of water parks I think of holidays abroad, but down in the New Forest they are working on something much closer to home.
Here’s what New Forest Water Park have to say about their new and exciting venture.
Just two years ago, New Forest Water Park launched their state of the art Rixen Cable Wakeboard System which proved to be a huge hit but on 2nd May 2015 they will be creating an even bigger splash when they launch the UK’s first outdoor Aqua Park, in partnership with Heart FM.
Similar to the assault course used on ‘Total Wipeout’, the Wibit consists of interlocking sections providing endless on-water activities from the likes of slides, monkey bars, trampolines and even a climbing ice tower. The inflatable, interlocking modules will provide New Forest Water Park with a floating playground of fun, entertainment and fitness to participants aged from 6 to 66. The German designed modules were successfully installed in April and the equipment has undergone rigorous safety checks before opening to the general public on Saturday, 2nd May 2015 at 11am.
The Park’s MD Mark Jury enthuses “We couldn’t be more delighted about this new addition to the Park. The response has been phenomenal and video footage of the Aqua Park has been viewed by nearly 1 million people already. The phone hasn’t stopped ringing for bookings and our website crashed due to high demand”.
Wibit has been sold to over 60 Countries and has been enjoyed by over 7,500,000 users worldwide; from Canada to Mexico, Norway to Dubai and Australia. Wibit’s CEO Romann Rademacher adds “Modularity allows us to create these floating playgrounds for all kinds of locations; from pools up to lakes and open water fronts. Any combination can be made to fit specific location parameters and makes the products universally suitable.” Wibit are delighted with the incredible response to the launch at New Forest Water Park as it nearly equals the interest shown in their Dubai Park opening last year.
As a family of adventurers ourselves, we are thrilled to see new and innovative family attractions thriving throughout the UK and I’m sure the New Forest Water Park will be added to our Must Visit List this summer! Louis, our seven year old son, has blogged about his wish list for the ‘Big Holidays’ … and I’ve been saving up ever since because he’s not a boy with cheap taste! The Wibit course costs £15 per person and is suitable for ages six and over.
What plans do you have for the summer? Would you consider the New Forest Water Park?
We always say we would love to ave a go at total wipe out, this is definitely one for the bucket list.
This isn’t too far from us and sounds amazing, off to do some research – I think the kids are too young at the moment but would be great to visit in the future x
