The boys usually have chocolate advent calendars in December and they’ll probably have them this year too. There are loads of alternative advent calendars out there though for children who don’t eat chocolate, and Match Attax sent the boys some earlier this month.

The boys have collected Match Attax cards every season for the last three or four years, and although they have never completed a book they still love to start a new one each year.

The beauty of Match Attax for my children is that it gives them an opportunity to work on a project together, go to meet-ups and swapping events and it’s something they do that’s both sociable and away from a screen.

Basically the Match Attax advent calendar is exactly what you’d expect. For £20.00, there is a pack of five cards behind each door. As with all packs we buy in the shop, there is also a digital card for use in the Match attax app.

The Match Attax Advent Calendar is a great gift for any football fan. Robot had a closer look at his on video…

If your football fan loves to collect match attax this is a great way to boost their collection without breaking the bank.

The boys inevitably end up with lots of duplicate cards when collecting Match Attax so we went to a swap event at The National Football Museum in Manchester. The boys had a great time and managed to get some good swaps but they still have tonnes!

There are more swap events hosted by Topps during 2019 in Dublin, London and Manchester. These are all wonderful cities for a short break too so why not get yourself booked into a hotel!
